Some people say that New Year’s resolutions don’t work, but we love an opportunity to think about where we’re heading, make some tweaks, set some goals, and try new things! Here’s what we’re striving for this year—and the products we love that are supporting our ambitions.

I am OBSESSED with Kosterina Crushed Fruit Vinegars for drinks, salads and marinades, and when I saw they were on sale at Whole Foods recently (they’re normally a little pricey at $15/bottle), I bought two bottles of each flavor!
I’ve gradually cut back on drinking alcohol over the last few months, and am always looking for an evening treat without the alcohol, sugar and calories. I swear that a splash of Kosterina + a bottle of Topo Chico + a LOT of freshly squeezed lime juice, poured over one of those huge, oversized ice cubes in a big wine glass, is just as tasty as a cocktail, and still feels fun and festive. (And hey, you could probably make an awesome spritz out of this by adding white wine for a low-alcohol cocktail.)
The Cucumber Lemon Balsamic Vinegar is my favorite flavor and only has four ingredients: White Cooked Grape Must, White Wine Vinegar, Meyer Lemon Juice Concentrate, and Cucumber Juice Concentrate. I haven’t tried it in salad dressings or marinades yet, but they get rave reviews for that as well.
(Hmm, we should reach out to them to see if they’d like us to handle their PR!)

Heading into 2025, I’m committing to eating less processed foods (especially ULTRA-processed foods). For me, this means prioritizing cooking more at home with whole foods and ingredients and shopping at the amazing local farmers market in Santa Monica. My husband and I have been doing “Sunday Dinners” with friends and family as a nice ritual to end a weekend and keep the Sunday scaries at bay.
One source of inspiration for all of this has been Jess Damuck’s new Health Nut cookbook that published in 2024. The Cauliflower and Chickpea Curry recipe is comforting and delicious, but not too heavy. I’ve barely scratched the surface of the recipes in this book, and I’m excited to dive deeper into them in 2025.

I always try to keep my resolutions simple and attainable! This year, my goal is to drink more water and continue on my path to detoxify my home. You know you’re adulting when your product pick is…drumroll…. a water filter.
The Clearly Filtered water pitcher/filter system has quickly become my favorite. Not only does it remove 73x more contaminants than many well-known competitors, but it’s also sleek and stylish. I’d love to upgrade to an under-the-sink system someday but in the meantime, this pitcher has already made it so much easier to stick to my 2025 goals. Hydrated and healthy? Yes, please! 💧✨

I want to have more fun with cooking in 2025 and I knew when I needed to find pink peppercorns – the blush hued sister of black peppercorns with a brighter taste – I could find it at Savory Spice (online and 20 brick-and-mortar locations).
Pink peppercorns add a phenomenal floral-tinged flavor and fun decoration to the Adobo Chocolate Chip Cookies from Abi Balingit, adapted for NYT here. I’ve since given the Savory Spice pink peppercorns as gifts – an unexpected present for the home cook – and am thinking about making Pink Peppercorn Gougères and Three-Pepper Cacio e Pepe.

One of our biggest resolutions is to do more with less time – in other words, be more efficient! – so we’re reading and loving two books recently recommended by Michael Smart, the PR guru: Indistractable by Nir Eyal, and Stolen Focus by Johann Hari. Now if it just didn’t take so long to read them…😜.
We’re so thankful for another year of supporting good food with work we truly love. Let us know if we can help YOU achieve your success goals in 2025 by dropping us a line here.
