Dig Deep: ROOT’s August 2022 Newsletter

A tomato dish set in a light blue bowl

August is our favorite month of the year! It’s Colorado Proud month – and National Farmer’s Market Week is next week – Aug. 7-13.  Make a trip to your local farmer’s market and get some of that summer bounty!

If you’re on the Front Range, make a ressie for OAK at Fourteenth’s Tomato Dinner, a five course menu showcasing an array of heirloom varieties from local farms on Thurs, Aug. 11 (but do it now – this dinner ALWAYS sells out.)

It’s also time to be thinking ahead to the holidays. Holiday gift guides can cause sizable and measurable bumps to your sales. Our most recent blog, “How to Get Your Products into Holiday Gift Guides” shares everything you need to know to get your products featured. Great job Emily Tracy!

DON’T MISS

Natural Products Expo East is coming up Sept 28-Oct 1 at the Philadelphia Convention Center. Kuvy will be speaking again – stay tuned for details!

CLIENT NEWS

Mind Blown™ by The Plant Based Seafood Co.’s new plant based crab cakes + SPROUT Farmers’ Market’s national distribution launch announcement made a huge SPLASH last week with features in many media outlets, including Nosh, who included it in this “Notable New Products” article.

Check out this KOA radio interview with our client and workplace expert Arian Lewis of Kiln coworking space on the future of in person working vs working from home.

ROOT OUT AND ABOUT

Thank you New Hope Network for inviting us to judge the New Hope NEXTY Awards for Expo East again! We tasted, smelled, compared and debated our way through dozens of finalists to choose the most progressive, impactful and trustworthy products in the natural products industry. Finalists and winners will be recognized and celebrated in-person at Expo East, and virtually on Natural Products Expo Virtual (npevirtual.com/newhope.com).

If you’re anything like us, it gets a little lonely working at home by yourself all day. We love our membership to Kiln Boulder coworking space, with an on-site theater, “refresh rooms,” deep work rooms, a parenting room, a café, a podcast studio, walking and biking desks, along with a variety of events and programming.
