ROOT Out & About
ROOT friend Chloe Sorvino, the Food, Drink and Ag Editor for Forbes Magazine, held a book signing event in Kuvy’s hometown last month for her new book, “Raw Deal.” Raw Deal is a jaw-dropping exposé of the U.S. meat industry, the food system’s shortcomings, and the challenges faced by alternative meat producers. It was an evening filled with enlightening discussions, excellent food from OAK, and great company!
Kuvy drove up to Steamboat Springs to visit ROOT’s newest client, Hannah Hopkins, and her three allstar restaurants, Mambo Italiano, Yampa Valley Kitchen, and Bésame. Hannah’s restaurants focus on high-quality sustainable food, creative and inspired cuisine, and impeccable service, and have a fiercely loyal following. Kuvy spent the weekend at all three locations getting to know the people, the food and drinks, and what makes each one special (it’s a tough job but someone has to do it!)
